St Kentigern’s Catholic Parish in Blackpool will be right behind Rosie O’Donnell next week when she joins the biggest ever CAFOD team in the Great North Run in Newcastle – at least, they’ll be with her in spirit!

Rosie, a newly qualified physiotherapist, spoke to her parish community about why she is running for CAFOD, outlining the desperate need in Zimbabwe and how CAFOD is helping.  CAFOD has worked in Zimbabwe for almost 30 years and continues to support the people of Zimbabwe through this time of economic, political and social crisis.

Rosie’s efforts on this one day really can make a lasting difference to our sisters and brothers in Zimbabwe.  We wish Rosie a smooth and enjoyable run.  Many thanks to Fr John Foulkes and all the parish community of St Kentigern’s for their magnificent support!
