St Mary’s Catholic College, Blackpool held a week of fundraising events in October to raise money for CAFOD’s Pakistan Appeal and for Harvest Fast Day.
Staff and students took part in lots of different activities including a football penalty shootout, lunchtime concert, staff leg wax and a hunger lunch.
Members of ACTIVATE, the school’s Faith and Justice Group, handed over a cheque to CAFOD Diocesan Manager Rosa Trelfa.
Thanks to some last minute donations the final total St Mary’s raised was an amazing £1,419.82.
The money will help transform the lives of people left devastated by flooding in Pakistan as well as supporting CAFOD’s ongoing development work in over 50 countries across the world.
A huge thank you to all the staff and students at St Mary’s for their fantastic effort and energy.
