Blackpool FC’s ‘Tangerine Dream’ in Kenya

Blackpool Football Club loved hearing about Jon taking the ‘tangerine dream’ to Kenya.  Jon met the Captain of a football club in the slums of Korogocho and was impressed with their knowledge and passion for the beautiful game.  He even parted with his own Blackpool football shirt, leaving a little of the team behind in Kenya.

You can read the report on the official Blackpool FC website at http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10432~2321791,00.html

Jon will be telling the story of his visit to Kenya and CAFOD’s work there on Friday 25th March at his own parish of English Martyrs in Poulton (154 High Cross Road, Poulton, FY6 8DA)  starting at 7.30pm.  Do go along and listen if you can.

Alternatively, come along to the CAFOD Blackpool meeting on Wednesday 30th March at St John’s Parish Hall (Breck Road, Poulton, FY6 7HT) starting at 7.30pm, where Rachel will be sharing her experiences of the visit.  You’ll be most welcome.
