CAFOD in Kenya

Following our visit to this beautiful African country, Rachel, who travelled to Kenya as part of the Step into the Gap programme, and I are pleased to have the opportunity to share the experience of the trip – showing you not only the challenges facing development overseas, but also the deep hope and real change we witnessed.

We visited many rural programmes around water and sanitation and in complete contrast the urban projects in the slums of Nairobi, as well as seeing the transformative work of an HIV and AIDS programme.  It was encouraging to see the strength of our partners, witness the difference the programmes make to the lives of so many people and be inspired by the generosity of the people we met.  The Holy Spirit is certainly alive and well.

Join us, on Thursday 5th May 2011, at 7pm, at Holy Family Parish Hall, 1 Lytham Road, Warton, PR4 1AD.  Everyone is welcome.  Refreshments served.
