Did you know? (8)

We provide a weekly ‘CAFOD fact’ as a short ‘Did You Know?’ to parishes across the Lancaster Diocese, which they print in their parish newsletters. If you would be interested in receiving this weekly email, let us know at CAFOD Lancaster and we’ll send it directly to you too – email: lancaster@cafod.org.uk

Did you know…today, thanks to you, trees are growing in Niger, plumbers are being trained in Guatemala and school children in Mozambique are drinking clean safe water? All through CAFOD’s 2012 Lent appeal. Your generosity – matched by the UK Government – raised £18.6 million for projects in 24 countries. As a result, 461 women have been trained to look after water sources in Guatemala; 765 families have received water filters in Cambodia, 125 latrines have been built in Sudan and 10 wells have been dug in Liberia – making huge differences to people’s lives.

All thanks to you……. thank you!
