Pause for peace

In response to the crisis in Gaza and Iraq and other parts of the world, the Preston Area Churches Liaison Group is holding a Prayer Vigil for Peace.

A spokesman for the group said: “While many people are praying for peace individually and in church communities, we feel that at this time there is an urgent desire to come together, to pray to God that through His Holy Spirit, there would be an end to violence and that peace and reconciliation would be established.”

A meeting has been arranged for 7.30pm on Tuesday 2 September 2014 at the Salvation Army, Harrington Street, Preston PR1 7BN for this purpose. Parking available.

We urge as many Christians as possible in Preston to come to pray together at this critical time.
