Did you know? (29)

Did you know….the ‘donkey that delivers’ is one of CAFOD’s new World Gifts? For families in the Erder community of Ethiopia, fetching water is hard, back-breaking work. Rising at dawn, they walk for up to eight hours to the nearest well, filling heavy 20-litre jerry cans. “Since the donkey was given to us, my wife and mother no longer have to carry water every day in heavy cans”. says Jeldessa Melecha of Ethiopia. World Gifts are an effective way to support CAFOD’s work and also reconnect with the true messages of Christmas. For more information see here
