Did you know? (37)

Did you know……as Pope Francis visits Sri Lanka, CAFOD is responding to the worst floods to hit the country since 1957? Severe flooding began in Sri Lanka in December. United Nations estimates that more than 1.1 million people have been affected. With rice crops washed away and tea and rubber plantations hit, many families are facing food shortages or struggling to make a living. CAFOD is working with Caritas Sri Lanka to deliver emergency food and supplies to more than 5,000 who have been forced from their homes. Please remember the people of Sri Lanka in prayer.
