Did you know? (43)

Did you know…this Sunday is International Women’s Day? We particularly remember women living in extreme poverty who labour long hours to feed their families. CAFOD’s match-funded Lent Appeal is hoping to directly transform the livelihoods of 300,000 women, men and children in marginalised rural areas of Bangladesh, Kenya, Myanmar and Zimbabwe through improved livelihoods. Women-headed households are an area of focus in this work – enabling, supporting and training women to be able to provide for themselves and for their own. We continue to work together to make a more just world for everyone.

We provide a weekly ‘CAFOD fact’ as a short ‘Did You Know?’ to parishes across the Lancaster Diocese, which they print in their parish newsletters. If you would be interested in receiving this weekly email, let us know at CAFOD Lancaster and we’ll send it directly to you too – email: lancaster@cafod.org.uk
