Did you know? (58)

Did you know…Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world? Doutchi, a town in the west of Niger, suffers from drought, flooding and invasions of pests such as locusts regularly, and families often struggle to find one meal a day. CAFOD is focussing on a life-changing project that aims to make 4 communities (532 households directly) food secure, and reach the stage where each family involved can be sure of three meals a day, every day. Thousands of individuals will benefit immediately, and with the knowledge and training being passed on, the benefit will spread even further.

We provide a weekly ‘CAFOD fact’ as a short ‘Did You Know?’ to parishes across the Lancaster Diocese, which they print in their parish newsletters. If you would be interested in receiving this weekly email, let us know at CAFOD Lancaster and we’ll send it directly to you too – email: lancaster@cafod.org.uk
