Ana Manganaro Health Clinic – Guarjila, El Salvador

Did you know…the Ana Manganaro health clinic is a CAFOD partner in El Salvador? The clinic was built in 1988 by refugees, including nurses, who returned to El Salvador after the civil war. Inspired by Blessed Oscar Romero and by American doctor and Sister Ana Manganaro, the clinic provides care for rural communities so they don’t have to travel long distances, which can be costly and dangerous, to see a doctor. Today the clinic supports a population of 19,000 people.

At CAFOD, our hope is inspired by our Christian faith and the strength of the partners, families and individuals that we work with both here in the UK and overseas. By working together, we can build a better world so everyone can become the best person they can be.

Thank you for your support this Harvest and throughout the year.

We provide a weekly ‘CAFOD fact’ as a short ‘Did You Know?’ to parishes across the Lancaster Diocese, which they print in their parish newsletters. If you would be interested in receiving this weekly email, let us know at CAFOD Lancaster and we’ll send it directly to you too – email: lancaster@cafod.org.uk
