Help turn on the taps this Lent

Did you know… 650 million people don’t have access to safe water? Without this basic service, they have no choice but to drink dirty water that could kill them. Help CAFOD turn on the taps this Lent Fast Day. Every £1 you give will be matched by the UK government, up to the total value of £3.5 million, enabling us to support communities in Uganda, Zimbabwe and the DRC so they have clean, safe water nearby and training to maintain the water supply. This will ensure that girls – who often have to carry the burden of collecting water – are able to stay in school and get an education.

We pray this Lent that we may open our hearts to experience God’s mercy. In turn, may we act mercifully towards our neighbours – our sisters and brothers living in poverty.
