We warmly invite you and your parish community to join us for the CAFOD Carlisle Harvest Fast Day meeting for what we hope will be an inspiring evening. I’m delighted to announce that CAFOD’s Head of International Programmes, Andrés Gomez de la Torre, will be the key note speaker.
Andrés will be highlighting our work in Bolivia which is the focus of our Harvest Fast Day this year. We’re privileged to be able to have Andrés with us. I’m so pleased to be able to bring him to Cumbria to speak to our wonderful CAFOD supporters. Andrés is originally from Peru and brings a wealth of experience to his role with CAFOD. With our partners overseas, he is responsible for developing and implementing effective programmes that aim to have a lasting positive impact on poverty and injustice. It will be a really interesting evening, being able to draw on his experience with CAFOD overseas, and to show how the Catholic community is making a lasting difference in the world around us.
All are welcome. If you know of anyone who is interested in volunteering for CAFOD in your parish, please do invite them along.
We do value your ongoing support. It makes a tangible difference to the lives of countless people overseas.
